Our favorite beach is hands down the Inkwell, which is historically known for being the beach where black families gather. It's on the Bay side of the island, so the water is really calm. The sand is also rocky and the seaweed prominent. But, no one cares! Grab your speakers, a bottle of wine or a six pack, and ENJOY.

Our 2nd recommendation is South Beach (pictured above), which has "real" waves, little to no seaweed, and faces the ocean. It's where the cool teens, who haven't yet understood their parents enthusiasm for the Inkwell, hang out.
