From North Kingstown, Rhode Island, visit the Vineyard Fast Ferry website.

(Ferry Voyage Time: 1.5 hours. Ferry Ticket: $104 round-trip)

From Woods Hole, Massachusetts, visit the Steamship Authority website.

(Ferry Voyage Time: 45 minutes. Ferry Ticket: $17 round trip for walk-on passengers)

 

Below is a list of parking lots in Woods Hole, MA that cost $10-$13 per day. Free shuttle service is offered directly from each parking lot to the ferry terminal. For the most up-to-date parking information, call the Steamship Authority’s dedicated parking information line at (508) 457-7275.

Car Ferry:

For those bringing a car to Martha's Vineyard, the only option is to take the Steamship Authority ferry, which departs from Woods Hole, MA.

(Ferry Voyage Time: 45 min. Ferry Ticket: $17 round trip for walk-on passengers and $162 round-trip for cars).

Train

To Boston:
Take Amtrak train to Boston’s South Station. From there, you can take a Peter Pan Bus from South Station to Wood’s Hole, MA, where the Steamship Authority ferry departs. For more information, visit the Peter Pan website and the Steamship Authority website.

(Train Travel Time: 4-7 hours. Bus Travel Time: 90 minutes. Ferry Voyage Time: 45 minutes. Bus Ticket: $62 round trip; Ferry Ticket: $17 round trip).

To Rhode Island:
Take Amtrak train to Kingston, Rhode Island station. From there, you can catch a shuttle, Uber, or a taxi to the Vineyard Fast Ferry.

(Train Travel Time: 3-5 hours. Shuttle Travel Time: 25 min. Ferry Voyage Time: 1.5 hours. Shuttle Ticket: $22 one-way. Ferry Ticket: $104 round trip.)

Bus

From New York City:
The Peter Pan Bus travels to Wood’s Hole, MA from the Port Authority Terminal at 42 Street and Eighth Avenue. Tickets can be purchased online or at the terminal. The bus also stops in both New Bedford and Providence, making it convenient to access the Vineyard Fast Ferry in either of those cities. To reach Wood’s Hole and the Steamship Authority ferry service to Martha’s Vineyard, it will be necessary to change buses in Bourne. Check Peter Pan’s website for times and schedules.

From Philadelphia:
