Car Ferry:

For those bringing a car to Martha's Vineyard, the only option is to take the Steamship Authority ferry, which departs from Woods Hole, MA.

(Ferry Voyage Time: 45 min. Ferry Ticket: $17 round trip for walk-on passengers and $162 round-trip for cars).

Take Amtrak train from Pittsburgh Union Station to New York Penn Station. 

(Duration: 9 hours and 20 minutes. Price: $55-$80.)

Next, take train from New York Penn Station to Boston South Station.

(Duration: 4 hours. Price: $35-$55.)

Once you arrive at Boston South Station, you can take a Peter Pan bus from South Station to Wood’s Hole, MA, where the ferry departs to go to Martha’s Vineyard.
